Brunch + Unlimited Drink = Drunch at Sand – De Sovrani

Sand is a restaurant located at the 1st floor of De Sovrani hotel.

Location –
DD 21, Sector 1, Salt Lake.

Ambience –
Grand ambience with sophisticated interior decoration , mesmerising lighting , cosy seating arrangements of about 50 people,  which imparts a classy feel.

Staffs & Service –
Staffs were well trained and very polite and service was prompt.
This time,  Sand , a classy restaurant in  Hotel DE SOVRANI host Brunch + Unlimited Drink = Drunch from 2nd July onwards on Every Sunday for Just rupees 899.

Brunch – A meal eaten later in the day than breakfast and earlier than lunch, replacing both meals, and often consisting of some foods that would normally be eaten at breakfast and some foods that would normally be eaten at lunch.
We Panchphoron team went on a food tasting session and it comprised of unlimited buffet and drinks ( both alcoholic & non alcoholic ) , from North Indian to Chinese to continental , Salads ,  buffet counter to live counter , one would get almost everything here. The list was huge.
I tried the following items – 

Nawabi  paneer Tikka –
Paneer tikka is an Indian dish made from chunks of paneer marinated in spices and grilled in a tandoor. It is a vegetarian alternative to chicken tikka . It was very flavourful, soft and healthy.

Tandoori Chicken –
Juicy, flavourful and very well prepared.

Stir Fried Butter Garlic Vegetable – A tasty vegetable dish which was lipsmacking.

Mongolian Veg Fried Rice –
A delicious fried rice dish with loads of veggies and flavour. 

Jeera Peas Polao –
 A special rice preparation with jeera and peas. It was well made and aromatic.

Hyderabadi Murgh Dum Biryani –
 It was very well cooked, flavourful with tender meat pieces. It goes very well with Raita.

Dhaba Dal Makhana –
A thick & creamy Dal preparation and was very tasty.

Subz Miloni –
A very healthy and tasty veg dish where  all the veggies that are added with spinach and cooked.

Mushroom Tawa Masala –
lightly curried dish, the tawa mushroom uses strong Indian spices to whip up a rich and flavorsome gravy that enveloped sliced mushroom pieces. It was very yummy.

Schezwan Vegetable –
A quick and saucy Indian Chinese dish with loads of vegetables in spicy saucy Schezwan base. It was yummy.

Steamed Fish Ball in Mild Oyster Sauce –
  It was tasty and light and flavourful with soft fish pieces.

Shreded Chicken In Hot Bean Sauce –
Soft chicken pieces with punch of flavours and zestiness of sauce.

Chicken Cafreal –
Traditional, tangy Goan green fried chicken with awesome flavour .

Mutton Xacuti –
A classic Goan dish that is  Fiery and loaded with flavour, it was  absolutely delicious!

Pickled Chili Chicken –
It was the most awesome dish of the list. It was extremely tasty . A must try…!! 

Butter Naan – It was soft and well prepared.

Dessert : 

Blueberry Cheese cake

Mix Fruit Mousse 

Strawberry Swiss Roll 

Basbousa Truffle tart 

Gulab Jamun 


Mango Phirni 

Chocolate Donnaught 

Review – All were delicious but the Blueberry Cheese cake, Strawberry Swiss Roll , Donnaught and Mango Phirni were the best.

 Live food counter- Momo , Dimsum , sandwich , mixed noodles,  pasta etc. One would have their  food made live by chef himself.

So what are you waiting for ?? Come here with your friends and family and enjoy the lavish & multifarious food ride.
